I help individuals and small businesses with their planning and transactional needs. My goal is simple: to provide peace of mind for my clients. I have an unusually broad legal background, I’ve faced a variety of life challenges, and I offer more than a thick binder of documents. I build relationships with my clients, and explore their special needs, their worries, and their goals. I help my clients choose who will care for them, and for their children, if they cannot. I help them decide who should receive their assets, and when. Then, we build a plan, and I help my clients implement it, so that they have the peace of mind that their family is taken care of when they no longer can. My practice emphasizes estate and trust planning and administration, but also includes corporate and real estate transactions, and, in the past, civil litigation. My business practice emphasizes operational and transactional advice to business entities, particularly in the area of real estate acquisition and development. I was born and raised in Southern California. I graduated from California State University at Fullerton in 1979 and from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law in 1982. My work experience has been acquired in both small and large law firms, and in nonprofit public service. Following graduation, I joined the law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher in its Orange County office. This was followed by a period of working on my own, or for small firms on a contract basis. In 2001, as an employee of Elder Law & Advocacy in San Diego, I provided free legal services to the elderly throughout San Diego County. I joined Peterson & Price in 2002. I am admitted to practice before all of the Courts of the State of California. I am a member of WealthCounsel, LLC, a premier organization of collaborative estate planning professionals, and of the Professional Advisors Council of the Jewish Community Foundation, San Diego. I am also a member of the Trusts and Estates and Real Property Law Sections of the State Bar of California, and the Business and Corporate Law, Real Property Law, and Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law Sections of the San Diego County Bar Association.
